Isabela Cusano is a visual artist, living and working in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Through her art practice, she explores the intersections of bodies, architecture, and memory, investigating how intangible relationships between a physical place and individual can be recorded.
She represents bodies in abstracted forms: humanoid amalgamations of domestic objects, skin textures, or shadows. She develops installations using these abstract figures and a variety of materials to represent interplay between space and body.
Isabela received her BFA in studio art in 2023, focusing on contemporary installation and sculpture. Her work has been selected and shown locally and internationally.
